The cooperative was founded as a group in 1962 by 20 food retailers from the city of Trento. DAO is the CONAD distribution center for the provinces of Trento, Bolzano, Verona, and Vicenza. It is present with the Maxìbrand in the provinces of Brescia and Bergamo.
